As the Bihar Assembly elections for 2025 approach, both major political alliances are discussing their electoral strategies and seat-sharing arrangements. However, along with these conversations, signs of internal conflicts within the NDA have started to surface. The NDA seems to be facing challenges as members of the alliance express their differences on key issues. This internal discord is not limited to disagreements over policy, but also on leadership and seat distribution.

Chirag Paswan’s Remarks Stir Tensions

One of the most prominent figures in this internal struggle is Chirag Paswan, the leader of the LJP (R). Paswan, who has often been vocal about his opinions, has been criticizing the current Bihar government without directly naming Nitish Kumar. His comments have mainly focused on the law enforcement and governance system in Bihar. On several occasions, Paswan has expressed his desire to contest 243 seats in the upcoming election, signaling his ambition for a larger role in Bihar’s politics.

While Chirag Paswan continues to make statements regarding his aspirations and plans, his remarks have caused discomfort within the NDA. The internal differences over seat sharing and leadership have added to the growing concerns within the alliance.

Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Advice to Chirag Paswan

In the midst of these tensions, Jitan Ram Manjhi, the leader of the HAM (Hindustani Awam Morcha) party, and a Union Minister, has been vocal in advising Chirag Paswan to adhere to the principles of alliance politics. Manjhi emphasized the importance of maintaining the unity of the NDA and not letting individual ambitions disrupt the overall electoral strategy. Manjhi’s comments came at a time when Paswan’s statements had led to concerns about his commitment to the NDA.

Despite these remarks from Manjhi, Chirag Paswan did not respond directly to the advice. However, his brother-in-law, Arun Bharti, who is a Member of Parliament from Jamui, took to social media to indirectly criticize Manjhi. Bharti’s tweet sparked significant reactions on social media and added to the political drama surrounding the NDA alliance.

Arun Bharti’s Sarcasm on Social Media

Arun Bharti’s social media post was an indirect comment on Jitan Ram Manjhi’s advice to Chirag Paswan. Bharti wrote, “Anyone who has watched movies knows the saying: ‘A Chintu makes the kettle hotter than the tea.’ In today’s politics, some people are playing this character perfectly.” While Bharti did not explicitly mention Jitan Ram Manjhi’s name, the tweet was widely interpreted as a sarcastic jab at Manjhi. This tweet became a talking point on social media, with many political observers weighing in on the growing tension within the NDA.

The tweet from Arun Bharti not only added fuel to the fire but also highlighted the personal rivalries within the NDA. Although Chirag Paswan chose to remain silent, his brother-in-law’s comments stirred the pot and made it clear that the NDA is grappling with internal issues.

Ongoing Tensions in the NDA

The NDA is facing increasing friction as its members struggle to find common ground over the upcoming 2025 elections. While the BJP and JDU continue to dominate the political landscape in Bihar, parties like LJP (R) and HAM are also seeking their share of power. These smaller parties have started to demand a larger say in the alliance’s decisions, especially when it comes to seat-sharing.

In the current scenario, Chirag Paswan has been expressing his desire to contest 243 seats in the upcoming election. His remarks have created a rift within the alliance, with some members questioning his commitment to the NDA. While Jitan Ram Manjhi has continued to support the alliance and its unity, others in the NDA are wary of the disruptive impact of Paswan’s statements.

Chirag Paswan’s Role in Bihar Politics

Chirag Paswan has always been a controversial figure in Bihar politics. As the leader of the LJP (R), he has frequently voiced his opinions on the state’s governance and the role of the NDA. His desire to contest a larger number of seats in 2025 signals his ambition to play a bigger role in the state’s political future. However, his public statements regarding Nitish Kumar and Bihar’s governance have led to increasing tensions within the NDA.

The key issue for Chirag Paswan will be balancing his political ambitions with the alliances and commitments of the NDA. His comments have sparked a debate within the political establishment of Bihar, and many are watching closely to see how Paswan’s political career unfolds in the coming months.

The Impact of the Internal Disputes on the NDA’s Future

The internal disagreements within the NDA could have a significant impact on its ability to present a unified front in the 2025 Bihar elections. The seat-sharing discussions, combined with the personal rivalries and political maneuvering, have created a complex situation. The political landscape in Bihar is shifting, and it remains to be seen whether the NDA can resolve its internal conflicts and present a strong challenge in the upcoming elections.

Seat-Sharing and Electoral Strategy for NDA

The seat-sharing talks within the NDA have become a focal point in the lead-up to the 2025 elections. The BJP and JDU, the two dominant parties, continue to discuss how to divide the seats among the smaller parties like LJP (R) and HAM. These discussions are critical to determining the electoral strategy of the NDA. If the internal disputes are not addressed, the NDA may struggle to present a coherent and unified strategy.

The Bihar Assembly elections in 2025 will be a major political event for the NDA. The alliance will have to resolve its internal conflicts if it hopes to present a unified challenge against the Mahagathbandhan. Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and other key figures within the NDA will need to find common ground on key issues like seat-sharing, leadership, and electoral strategies.

In the coming months, Bihar politics will likely witness more power struggles, both within the NDA and between the various political parties. The 2025 elections could redefine the political landscape of Bihar, and the outcome will largely depend on how well the NDA can manage its internal disputes and rally behind a unified electoral strategy.

As the political dynamics continue to evolve, Chirag Paswan’s role in the NDA will be critical in determining the alliance’s future. The political drama within the NDA suggests that Bihar’s politics is only getting more complex, and it will be fascinating to see how the situation develops in the lead-up to the 2025 Bihar elections.
